PARTICIPANT RULES: $5 registration fee per team
(To be used
as part of the prize packages for winning teams)
• Have
fun and enjoy this experience
• Register in advance at the Montague Town Hall or by contacting
the organizing committee Chair, Jake Schurman at 583-3477 or
the Chamber Office
at 838-4791.
• All teams on foot, or bike
• Assign a Team Captain who will be the holder of all clues,
(remember they need to be handed in at the finish line). We
will supply an envelope to keep them safe.

Two or more individuals in the team –
BUT YOU NEED TO
STAY TOGETHER
•
Follow the clues (that will be given to each team at the starting
point for the businesses involved along the route) and be sure
to keep the keepsakes that will be handed out by businesses… and
don’t cheat!
• If teams miss a clue or a destination to pick up your keepsake,
you will be docked 10 minutes from your finish time.
• Team Captain needs to sign in at each destination and each
team member needs to get a keepsake indicating the business
has been visited. These could be a napkin, business card, key
chain, etc. which identifies the business you visited.
•
BIKE & WALK SAFELY – USE CROSS WALKS, PLEASE DON’T
SPEED; WEAR YOUR HELMETS, ETC.
STARTING POINT: Be there by 12:20 at the latest.
MONTAGUE WATERFRONT GAZEBO
Everyone
gathers at the starting point at 12:30 pm. When the Hunt
Marshall
gives you the go ahead,
check your
clue list
and start where your team chooses, which will then lead you
to the next spot. Businesses involved will be from Gillis’s
Drive-in to the Lobster Shanty and many wonderful spots in
between.
FINISH POINT: Be there no later than 3:00 PM Sharp
MONTAGUE WATERFRONT GAZEBO
After
you have completed all our clues and stopped at all destinations
along the
route to collect
the business
keepsakes
(NOTE…all participants need to receive a keepsake from
each business along the route). By 3 PM, go to the Montague
Waterfront Gazebo to sign in and hand in your envelope with
all clues and keepsakes enclosed. Keepsakes will be returned
if you wish.
Prizes and certificates will be presented to each winning
team. First, Second and Third prizes. All prizes generously
donated by participating businesses.
